Dispatch – News from the world of mountain culture: everything from real estate booms in Nepal to mountain bikers taking back the land in Utah, this department knows no geographical boundaries.

High Culture – A department solely reserved for the arts and culture as it relates to mountain culture: micro breweries, Highland scotch, artists and artistic movements

Gallery – A collection of stunning photos from some of the best outdoor and action sport photographers in the world.

Feature Well
Every issue (Winter/Summer) KMC’s editorial team will produce a number of feature-length stories built around a specific theme. The “well” will contain a collection of related pieces aimed at providing a balanced, broad overview of one important, compelling topic. Inquire as to current themes before pitching.

Stash – A miscellany of story shorts and interesting non-timely news bits. This is a great place to submit spec essays or to pitch to the magazine for the first time.

Backside – Reserved for the weird and often humorous musings of Editor, Mitchell Scott.
