It's definitely one of the coolest street ski segments you will ever see on film. Not only that, it might just be one of the best ski segments ever caught on film. And it all goes down on the streets of Trail, Rossland and Nelson in crappy, grey, wet, gravelly conditions. Shot by Dave Mossop of Sherpas Cinema, and starring JP Auclair, one of the most legendary freeskiers in the world, the segment was recently cracked to the world online and has since gone viral. Surprise, surprise. We found this great interview of Mossop by Ryan Dunfee of BroBomb Magazine. To read the interview of Mossop on the Sherpas site, go HERE. Check out the "Imagination" chapter below.

makes warren miller look like the veggie tales – excellent!!
WOW!!! Absolutely loved it! I’ve watched it several times now. Thanks…just downloading song off iTunes as I write.
I love the urban chair lift at the end! Uphill on the bus sign no less! Peace!
Wow That was so cool just wonder why we didn’t get to see his face?
I have lived in all 3 of those places Warfield, Nelson and Rossland and am I ever happy I do not live there anymore!
It looks like a 3rd world country and had forgotten all about the dirty filthy snow till now Yuk.
Give me Vancouver or Kelowna any day.
Wow. Saw the old house I used to live in at Green Avenue Lane. Yup that road (or if you want to call it a road) at the end of the Lane was pretty steep (one way only going down).
This is truly amazing..creative, artistic & awesome skiing. Well done!
Love everything about this vid, including the music!
FABULOUS! I lived in Rossland & worked in Trail “back in the day”. What a great film and what a great place to be. I miss those days……….ski in the morning on great terrain and golf in the afternoon. It just doesn’t get any better!
who does the music and whats the name of the song. I gotta have it. Loved the kid with the snowballs too!
Great scene. Makes me feel like a kid GT-ing down some of those covered staircases. …and RJ, yup it is mostly Trail whether you like it or not…lol! Recognize every scene since I grew up here (including Nelson). Props to the filmsters!
i used to live on green ave lane, intense hill, super steep. the freeze frame at the top is actually looking out of the end of the driveway of my old house. this video is awesome.
this guy does just not give a fuck!!
what is the name of this song?? who is the artist?
I am guessing the next time Rossland gets a dump the red mountain racers will be rippin up the town like never before.
Music: LCD Soundsystem – Dance Yourself Clean
Stellar film , but Hotdog the movie was better
Song is by LCD Soundsystem – Dance Yourself Clean (or in this case, Ski Yourself Clean)
What a superlative 4 minutes and 55 seconds.
That was awesome!!! Wow!! Excellent clip, so well done… Bravo!
The song is Dance Yrself Clean by LCD soundsystem. It’s a shortened version, but is absolutely amazing. I hear this when I ski now.
Amazing short!
Amazing, do I really have to say this what you have here, just keep going. I cannot help keep watching this Wow..Have lived in Nelson, B.C. for 35 years from the Oliver B.C., sold realestate for 20 years here, now retired,
Thankyou.
Shirly Cutler
Spectacular! I cannot stop thinking of the possibilities stuck in the big smoke. They are taking skiing to a whole new level. Great cinematography! I am downloading it from itunes as I type.
This is possibly my favourite ski clip ever. We’ve blogged the rest over here: http://www.indyco.co.uk/blog/index.php/archives/1004
